The Health Detectives Interview

Exposed: Jan 2012 Health Detectives interview

Over time, our bodies can accumulate high levels of toxins that can put our health at risk and leave us feeling low. Complimentary therapies can make a massive contribution towards avoiding or alleviating problems such as arthritis, migraines, digestive disorders and depression.

Penelope Crawford, a highly qualified Colonic Hydrotherapist, has over 15 years of experience in complimentary therapies. Her business is dedicated to discovering the causes of health issues not addressed by conventional medicine.

Using the latest bio-energetic health screening technology, as well as her considerable knowledge and expertise, Penelope can uncover underlying causes of symptoms and possible ways to alleviate them. The scanning is fast and painless – you’ll even get your results emailed to you the same day. A personalised treatment programme is generated, which includes a specific eating plan, herbs to support organs, nutritional supplements and homoeopathic remedies. Colonic Hydrotherapy is also available to improve digestive function and clean out all that old stuff from your large intestine – lifting your spirits and reducing the risk of bowel diseases and constipation.

We caught up with Penelope to find out more.

How did the business start and what inspired you to do it?

I started out as an Aromatherapist but I was fed up of only working on aches and pains. I realised many people had other issues, especially bowel problems and skin concerns, so I trained in colonic hydrotherapy and nutrition.

Why is it important for people to keep their food intake in balance?

Your body is made up of everything you have eaten in the last seven years. You need many micro-nutrients that are only found in fresh, organic and raw foods. We eat too much processed food and the body cannot absorb or eliminate – so that’s how you start to get toxic overload. Also, we need supplementation, as even fresh food is lacking in minerals and essential nutrients.

Who is most at risk of suffering from high toxin levels?

Many things reduce the ability to absorb nutrients; too much sitting at desks, ongoing stress, processed foods, smoking and alcohol. So, just about everyone.

How does the screening work?

It’s a bit like a lie-detector. You hold the electrodes that then measure your response to the items, such as; foods, bacteria, vitamins, environmental pollutants and so on, that are sent to your hands. Your response then appears on screen. It’s a measurement of what’s either deficient or in excess within the body.

And what’s colon hydrotherapy?

A gentle internal bath where warm water is introduced into the colon to soak and hydrate the hard waste products stuck in there.
